Masoud Barzani

Salahadin, Kurdistan Region of Iraq (Barzani Headquarters)- President Masoud Barzani received Mr. Jan Kubis, the Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI). During the meeting, President Barzani and Mr. Kubis spoke of the latest political developments in the Kurdistan Region and in Iraq especially insofar as the formation of the two governments is concerned.

The UNAMI Chief also made reference to President Barzani's recent visit to Baghdad and described it as a positive step towards further enhancing the Erbil-Baghdad relations.

Mr. Kubis's visit to the Barzani Headquarters was also considered a farewell visit as his tenure as UNAMI Chief has come to an end.
