Salahadin, Kurdistan Region of Iraq- President Masoud Barzani received a United States diplomatic delegation headed by the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, Douglas Silliman. The delegation also included the newly appointed Consul General to Erbil, Steven Fagin.
During the meeting, the two sides spoke of the latest political developments in Iraq following the May 12, 2018 Council of Representatives elections. President Barzani and ambassador Silliman also discussed some of the details related to the formation of the new Iraqi government.
President Masoud Barzani received a French diplomatic delegation today at his office in Salahadin. The French delegation was headed by Ambassador Bruno Aubert, France's ambassador to Iraq. The meeting commenced with President Barzani's expression of his gratitude to the people and government of France for their positive role that has been played by France following the recent events in Kurdistan.
Ambassador Aubert conveyed the greetings of President Emmanuel Macron and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian to President Barzani.

The meeting started with both sides discussing the latest regional developments and the ongoing efforts to exterminate the terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq, Syria and beyond. The two sides also spoke of the developments in Syrian Kurdistan
