President Masoud Barzani released a statement today on the first year anniversary of the 2017 Kirkuk Crisis. He described it as a “dark day” in the history of the people of Kurdistan. The statement makes reference to assistance that was provided by certain elements within Kurdistan to occupy the city of Kirkuk and describes that interference as an act of betrayal.
Erbil, Kurdistan- President Masoud Barzani attended the 13th annual Erbil International Book Fair today. 200 publishing and printing houses from over 30 countries were present at the book fair. The book fair was attended by a large number of writers from across the Kurdistan Region. It is scheduled to continue for the next ten days.
Salahadin, Kurdistan Region- President Masoud Barzani received a Reform delegation headed by Ammar al-Hakim. The meeting commenced with exchanges of views on the political developments in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region particularly the recent parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan Region and the process of government formation in Baghdad.
